It’s Thai-Bry! Robson takes the helm for Thailand

September 23, 2009

The greatest footballer that ever lived (well, maybe) Bryan Robson has done a ‘Peter Reid’ and taken over as first team coach for the Thailand national side

The former England and Manchester United captain has agreed a 4 year contract, with his agenda being to create a team strong enough to qualify for the Brazil 2014 World Cup Finals. The 52 year old legend replaces former Man City and Sunderland boss Peter Reid, who has become Tony Pulis assistant at Stoke.

Robson is currently an International Goodwill Ambassador for United, and will continue in this role for the club, as well as his new managerial duties.

I am comfortable that I can do both and do them well,” Robson said. “The Thai Football Association are comfortable with that as well. I have spoken to Peter Reid and he really enjoyed the one year he spent here”

Well the weather has got to be better than West Bromwich or Sheffield! Good luck Robbo.
