GUILTY! Adebayor gets his 3 match Ban

Emmanuel Adebayor will be out for the Manchester Derby.

According to a Statement from the FA:

“A Regulatory Commission today considered the charge of violent conduct issued against Manchester City’s Emmanuel Adebayor under the fast-track disciplinary procedure, following an incident with Robin van Persie during their fixture against Arsenal on the 12 September.

Taking into consideration Mr Adebayor’s acceptance of the charge of violent conduct the Regulatory Commission have ordered that he serve a three-match suspension from all football, commencing Thursday 17 September. A separate charge of improper conduct will be considered at a later date.”

Manchester City will have until September 30th to challenge the second forthcoming charges tied to Adebayor’s overzealous celebrations post goal against Arsenal.

With Robinho, Roque Santa Cruz and Benjani all injured and Tevez looking doubtful, Craig Bellamy will have a big role this weekend.

After the Derby, City face Fulham in the Carling Cup and then West Ham and Aston Villa in League Play.

You can review the incident here and let us know if you think he deserved the ban.

Not good for my fantasy squad, but good news for Manchester United.

Adebayor is out but heard Tevez may be in so beware United.
A fair decision by the way, although some will say he was provoked by the gunners fans, but he could have caused a steward to be seriously injured and still his tackles on Fabregas and V.Persie were awful

I really want that fcuker Tevez to play…he will get one hell of a reception..and he thinks signing for City over Liverpool was doing him a favour when it came to the United Faithful.

      Bring it on!

Oh and Ritesh it wasnt Adebayor that caused that steward to get hurt but the Arsenal fans..the fans have to be as responsible as anyone in the ground. The Arsenal fans conduct was disgusting and the club should have been charged.
