Well, ladies and gentlemen. Another weekend of Premier League football beckons.

Saturday

Chelsea v. Burnley

Team news:

Chelsea summer signing Yuri Zhirkov has started light training but will not be considered for the squad for the lunch time kick-off. So is Joe Cole. Other notable absentees include defenders Alex and Paulo Ferreira, but Juliano Belletti has recovered and is expected to join the squad.

Burnley defender Richard Eckersley will not be available thru suspension following the sending off in the Carling Cup win against Hartlepool in midweek. Steven Caldwell is still out with a groin injury. Michael Duff has returned from an ankle problem.

Predictions:

2-0

Blackburn v. West Ham

Team news:

Rovers new signing Pascal Chimbonda should be in the squad after making the move from Tottenham. Injured list includes Steven Reid, Brett Emerton, Ryan Nelsen and Franco Di Santo but David Dunn is likely to be on the bench. Former Real Madrid right back Michel Salgado is not yet match fit.

West Ham signing Alessandro Diamanti was not signed in time for the trip to Blackburn. Valon Behrami has started training but will not feature, so is Savio who is out with a virus. Dean Ashton, Luis Boa Morte and Herita Ilunga are still sidelined with long term injuries.

Predictions:

Bolton v. Liverpool

Team news:

Jlloyd Samuel could make his first appearance of the season, Andy O’Brien and Ricardo Vaz Te are back in training and in contention. Joey O’Brien and Ricardo Gardner are still out injured.

With concern to Martin Skrtel’s jaw injury, new signing Sotirius Kyrgiakos is set to feature for his debut who came through a reserve game mid-week. Fabio Aurelio, Daniel Agger and Alberto Aquilani are still sidelined.

Stoke v. Sunderland

Team news:

New signing from Middlesbrough Robert Huth could start if Ryan Shawcross fails a late fitness test. James Beattie is expected to be back in the line-up after the receiving a knock on the knee against Birmingham last weekend.

Sunderland keeper Craig Gordon could retain his place between the sticks after returning from knee injury, Martin Fulop has a heel problem.

Predictions:

Tottenham v. Birmingham

Team news:

Spurs boss is likely to keep the same team that won at West Ham last weekend. Jonathan Woodgate, Micheal Dawson and keeper Heurelho Gomes are all out for more than three weeks.

Christian Benitez is expected to given his first start, and Gregory Vignal is back after being out for two games with a hip injury. Cameron Jerome is still out injued.

Wolves v. Hull

Team news:

Wolves full-backs Stephen Ward and Greg Halford are back from knocks received from last weekend. Kevin Foley out with a knee injury.

Hull’s injured list includes Jimmy Bullard, Ian Ashbee, Dean Marney and Richard Garcia.

Predictions:

Manchester United v. Arsenal

Team news:

Major absentees are Rio Ferdinand and Edwin van der Sar. Ben Foster will continue in goal, while Michael Carrick and Anderson are set for recalls after missing out in the 5-0 drubbing of Wigan.

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has been ruled out with a hamstring injury. No other fresh addition to the injured list of Theo Walcott, Lukasz Fabianski, Samir Nasri and Johan Djourou.

Sunday

Portsmouth v. Man City

Team news:

No Sylvain Distin for Portsmouth who signed for Everton. Steve Finnan, Hermann Hreidarsson and Papa Bouba Diop are still out for another two weeks.

No fresh injuries for Man City.

Predictions:

0-2

Everton v. Wigan

Team news:

Sylvain Distin will make his Everton debut after his move from Portsmouth. Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and Yakubu should be in the squad. Phil Jagielka, Mikel Arteta and Victor Anichebe remain sidelined.

Wigan manager is likely to make some changes after the shock defeat to Blackpool mid-week. Paul Scharner and Mohamed Diame should retain their places in the line-up from mid-week.

Predictions:

2-2

Aston Villa v. Fulham

Team news:

Defender Curtis Davies might be a doubt with the shoulder injury, Richard Dunne could make his debut after his move from Manchester City. So will the other new signing, Stephen Warnock after completing his move from Blackburn.

Clint Dempsey might be a doubt but will face a late fitness test due to an ankle injury. Dany Murphy, Paul Konchesky and Bobby Zamora will also be given late fitness tests. Andrew Johnson, Simon Davies and Toni Kallio are out while Jonathan Greening could make his debut.

    call it bias for the team i support but i disagree with you Man Utd prediction. Arsenal are normally a tough opponent at Old Trafford (was there a couple of years back when Utd lost 1-0 and Ronaldo laid out Lehmann) but with the spotlight on Eduardo cheating I can see Vida and Evans kicking lumps out of them and getting away with it. It’s always brilliant when United keep lumps out of teams. Without Fabregas and off the back of a 5-0 win I can see Man Utd shading this one…

      predicted a win for united on my “i know the score” league.
