Tuesday

Sunderland v. Chelsea

Team news:

Sunderland strikers Kenwyn Jones and Darren Bent will continue to be paired together for the match, new signing Paulau Da Silva might feature.

Chelsea new signing Yuri Zhirkov will have to wait a little longer to make his Premier League debut while Joe Cole is back training but will not be included in the trip to the Stadium of Light. Paulo Ferreira still out injured.

Wigan v. Wolves

Team news:

Wigan striker Hugo Rodallega will start the match after his impressive goal last weekend. Olivier Kapo is the only player in the injury list.

Wolves injury list includes Chris Iwelumo, Michael Kightly and Christophe Berra who was injured in Scotland’s defeat to Norway last mid-week.

Predictions:

Wednesday

Birmingham v. Portsmouth

Team news:

Birmingham still has defensive worries with only five fit defenders. Marcus Bent still out injured, while Lee Bowyer has to serve suspension from last season. Christian Benitez will be pushing for a start.

Portsmouth new signing Steve Finnan and Hermann Hreidarsson will face late fitness test. New loan signing Anthony Vanden Borre will join the squad for the trip to Birmingham.

Burnley v. Manchester United

Team news:

Burnley new signing David Edgar is still sidelined while Michael Duff and Steve Caldwell are back training but are fifty-fifty for the home match against the league Champions.

Man United have defensive worries including a recent injury to Jonny Evans. Might see De Laet start the match with John O’Shea as center backs.

Hull City v. Tottenham Hotspurs

Team news:

Hull City still have Richard Garcia and Jimmy Bullard injured, Craig Fagan is training again but will not feature against Spurs. Jozy Altidore’s visa application is still not finalised.

Tottenham still has Jonathan Woodgate and Michael Dawson out, Sebastien Bassong will continue to partner Ledley King in defence. Left back Gareth Bale will not feature despite training earlier this week.

Liverpool v. Stoke City

Team news:

Liverpool Daniel Agger, Fabio Aurelio and Alberto Aquilani are sidelined, but other than that all are fit.

Stoke City’s only injury worry is Mamady Sidibe. Although Danny Higginbotham will face a late fitness test to see if he can join the squad for the trip to Anfield.
