David Beckham’s MLS career took another turn for the worse last Saturday when he was sent off against Seattle Sounders. The former England captain was shown a straight red for a tackle of Peter VAGENAS in the 17th minute of the match. Beckham left the pitch as fans booed, and to make matters worse, Galaxy lost the game 2-0.

After the match, Beckham insists there was no ill-feeling in the tackle, “Peter is one of my best friends. I think it’s a hard tackle but not with means for a red card. I’ve never gone in one tackle wanting to hurt someone. The referee saw it differently.

A picture is worth a thousand words they say,  and the picture above has “studs up” five hundred times written all over it.

And once again, VAGENAS.
