Adrian Mutu is ordered by the Court of Arbritation for Sport to pay Chelsea £14.63m after losing his appeal against a FIFA ruling for a breach of contract. Mutu was sacked in 2004 after he tested positive for cocaine and given a seven-month ban, he cost Chelsea £15m in 2003.

That’s probably the most expensive line of cocaine ever.

“That’s probably the most expensive line of cocaine ever.”

    LOL.

Seriously though, do you think a footballer like Mutu would be able to afford to pay that sort of compensation?

@FindFutsalMsia, it will take away a sizable chunk of his fortune and leave him poorer, but yes, he should be able to afford it.

last i heard hes thinking of opening a cartel once hes finished with football to pay for the fine, him and bosnich.

hes been playing for over 10 years, and lets say on average he earns 1.5m a year – thats over 15m. so i guess he can afford it, but he wont be playing the playboy millionaire lifestyle.
