xabi alonso hands in transfer request

July 31, 2009

Looks like Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso has moved a step closer to joining Real Madrid after he handed in a written transfer request. Alonso has consistently refused to publicly reveal his intentions and boss Rafa Benitez has always insisted he didn’t want to sell the Spanish midfielder.

Benitez spent most of last summer trying to flog Alonso – he can hardly be surprised that Alonso doesn’t want to play for him anymore. Unsettle one of your most gifted players – great man management.

And now Rafa loses both Gareth Barry AND Xabi Alonso. And it seems like Mascherano wants to go as well. Speaks volumes for RAFACHT Benitez’s man-management skills

it is obvious that he will be leaving. benitez wanted to push him out of anfield when he was desperately trying to sign barry and refused to budge when juventus came with an offer.

now madrid is knocking and i fancy him leaving and liverpool fans do not realise they are losing their best player of last season and who knows mascherano forces his way to barcelona..

he would have to build again from scrap and he will start talking about money while he does not realise that he has spent much more than utd.

As kops celebrated Ronaldo’s departure to madrid, i would certainly return the favour now!

added you on my blog roll ;) keep the updates !
