toure joins city

Kolo Toure has completed his move from Arsenal to Manchester City in a £17million deal, he has signed a four-year contract. He will be linking up with his former Gunners team-mate Emmanuel Adebayor at the Eastlands but we’re still waiting for his version of the “its not about the money, interesting project etc” speech we’ve heard so much from City’s newcomers and of course, an LOL photo shoot.

That picture might be of Toure and Adebayor finding gold coins, but you can’t really blame them. Arsenal’s first team players have been the lowest paid players in the Premier League’s big four, prior to last season they’ve given the club more or less 100%. It’s always nice to get a little top up for the retirement fund.

The saddest part is, for Arsenal fans, Toure was the last player of the “Invincible” era. Unless Arsene Wenger forgone his transfer policy and buy class players with the City cash, can’t see Arsenal emulating those glory days anytime soon.

FYI. City has paid £42million for two players to Arsenal, thats 10 percent of the Emirates Stadium’s cost.

‘Invisible era’? Sorry but you typed the wrong word. It should be ‘Invincible era’.

    Thank you.

If City dont at least win one cup this season they are doomed forever, with a squad like this am tempted to say a treble for city even if am not a fan (carling, league, fa)

the city does look pretty good now, but theres still a lot of factors to overcome before they can work together. not this season, i say. if they can keep this up for another year or two, maybe.
