or nearest offer

June 10, 2009

Other than Kaka completing his move from AC Milan to Real Madrid on a world record fee, its been pretty slow in terms of football news. No greedy buggers joining Manchester City. No sudden interest in Ronaldo. No new managerial changes in either Newcastle United or Chelsea. Oh wait, there was Mike Ashley putting up Newcastle United for sale for £100m – and asking would-be buyers to put in offers by email. Which has led the board bombarded by piss-taking offers from fans everywhere. To add further humiliation to the Toon Army, Ashley has transfer-listed the whole squad.

I don’t know, hmmm, £100m is a bit too much isn’t it? With all those players on those ridiculous wages, they would have to PAY ME to buy that club. And the Championships? Head of the Geordie Branch of the Cockney Mafia, Ashley bought the Magpies for £133m in May 2007 and he’s selling for £100m? Plus the £33m loss, I do ponder how much of his money has gone down the drain in the last three years with bad business and the economy et al.

I wonder if there’ll be a garage sale if they do go bankrupt, I don’t mind owning a piece of Newcastle United.

Actually, I really don’t mind owning the team and I still have a £20 note and some old coins somewhere, anyone else want to set up a consortium to buy the Magpies with me? For the glamour!

You are absolutely right young man, the sooner Mike Ashley can sell, the better.
He is the sole culprit responsible for Newcastle’s demise since he bought the club and he has openly admitted it.

£100mil is cheap for a club that deserve to be top 6 in the Prem.

The Singapore based investers Profitable Group have tabled a bid to buy out Mike Ashley, this looks like a great opportunity for Newcastle to bounce straight back.
