I cannot believe neither the referee or the linesman did nothing about Jose Bosingwa’s stamp on Yossi Benayoun’s backside. Furthermore unbelievable, after examining the incident the Football Association decided that Bosingwa will not face any action for the stamp. Hm.

Staying within the Chelsea camp, Frank Lampard has won his appeal against the red card he received in the same match, and will not serve any ban. That is the second time in the past year that Lampard won an appeal against a red card. He has a red card overturned in March last year against West Ham. Hmm.

While former Chelsea winger, Shaun Wright-Philips has been charged with violent conduct by the FA for his little Beckham-esque kick on Stoke City’s Rory Delap during the 1-0 defeat at the Britannia Stadium. Hmmm.

Apparently, the FA is powerless to punish Bosingwa because the linesman admitted seeing the incident but took no action so the FA cannot review the incident. However, no match officials saw Wright-Philips kicked out so the FA was able to examine it and therefore, took action. Yes, barmy rules. Imagine if none of the match officials saw Eric Cantona’s kung fu kick.

FYI, Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo twice kicked out on a opponent in the Premier League this season and has gone unpunished. Against Micheal Dawson and Andy Wilkinson. HMMM.

Rafa Benitez, take note. It’s not just Sir Alex Ferguson, the “fact” is Felipe Scolari seems to have a strong-hold on the FA too.
