Top 50 highest paid players this season
Portuguese marketing agency Futebol Finance has published a list of the top 50 footballer’s salaries this season and it’s pretty obvious who would be top of the list but there are still some interesting results. The wages shown are just for this season.
There are a whopping 19 players above Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney, something I’m sure will probably be re-addressed come new contract negotiations. Chelsea are the Premier League’s biggest payers with a total of 7 players on the list. Manchester City have 6 players in the list, it would be 7 as Patrick Vieira is on the list but he was still at Inter Milan when the list was made. Manchester United have 4 players, Liverpool have 2 players and Arsenal have just Andrei Arshavin in the list.
