Ashley tried. He loved the club abit too much and lets not forget he did pump in alot of money in. The biggest mistake he made was hiring big sam.
mike ashley should have been their saviour but i dont think the madness started when he appointed sam allardyce. the key moment there is when he appointed dennis wise as director of football, thats the moment when kevin keegan was undermined. its like roman abramovich began interfering in chelsea’s team selection was the moment jose mourinho was on his way out. from that moment, chelsea’s instability is the reason they’re not winning as much trophies as they should.
mike ashley is like so many of the new breed of owners, they really dont know football as much as we dont know football. i thank you.
