Forget all the SNAFUs with Chelsea’s humiliating trip to Old Trafford and Rafa Benitez’s recent outburst, here’s the story for this January. Kaka and Manchester City. Manchester City are flexing all their muscles in getting 2006 FIFA Player of the Year to the Eastlands, with talks of transfer fees of up to £175m and weekly wages of £500,000 are grabbing all the headlines. Although Kaka has reiterated his desire to stay at San Siro and become the future captain of the Milan outfit, it won’t be enough for the English press to keep the back-pages Man City-free.
Now let’s see if the wealthy Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan can pay his way in to next year’s UEFA Champions League.
ps. WDKF has exclusively obtained a copy of Sheikh Mansour’s 1st XI wishlist, apparently he fancies himself as a right winger.
